Sump gasket, 1275 engine

Further to the big end bearing story.....
the sump, when I removed it, has rubber seals at the front & rear ends. These are located on a series of little pins which protrude from the locating slots on the sump. These rubber seals are NOT shown in the Marina manual

The new replacement I have got has the cork seals as usual. The side gaskets are the same on both old & new gasket sets.

I am wondering if I should replace the original rubber ones or try to use the new cork ones?

Advice from learned counsel would be appreciated!

Chris

Chris,
Stick with the rubber seals-Moss sell them. It has been discussed many times.

Did the gasket set also come from the supposed 'experts' at ESM ???? Stick with the rubber seals - although the 'pins' are a new one on me...........

Chris,
Can you take a photo of those "pins" as a matter of interest?
