Hi just picked up my New car today a 1971 morris Traveller but have found out that the rear sliding windows wont lock apart from one.

It seems that the whether strip at the upright end of the window frame is stopping the the window from pushing into the slot.

does any one do why this could be happening it has had complete new woodwork in the last couple of years if that helps.

cheers josh

Obviously the channel the windows run in, is not correctly located!

These channels are usually screwed into place in the wood using small screws. Check that one of these hasn't become proud and is stopping the proper movement of the glass.

thanks for the advice people. managed to sort it out today along with a few other little jobs that needed doing.

managed to get the non blade end of a stanley knife into the upright channels to widen the gap and the windows and that sorted it luckely.

thanks for the help again.
