are there any problems i should look out for ??

only a couple of small problems, people say the ally hubs with sum kits arnt the best but if you go to jlh you can get steel hubs, some kits also need a little spacer between the wheels and hub because the wheels can rub on the caliper (mine did) jlhs kit also comes with these, bmc will soon be here to say there are no need and just go for 9 inch drums but thats just his personal opionion, you will need a servo as well if goin for disk

they stop so much better then orignal drums and i got to say its the best mod i have done to the car, dosnt take long at all the fit them either
ive had mine fitted for about 16 months now and not had any problems with them at all and the disk hav only slighly worn down

its the kit on ebay now £175 no bids i cant do a link ime useless cant make my mind up yet as should i buy ?

I'm running the Ford disc kit with no servo. I don't feel there is the need for assistance but then the car is never fully loaded and I don't live in a very hilly area.

i think you can buy a new marina kit for £300. that ebay item seems pretty reasonable coming with the rebuild kits and swivels (although the swivels could be knackered). you can buy new marina disks these days so if those are shot at least you can get replacements, but the cost could add up. may work out cheaper to buy new and know what you're getting.

you can buy a new ford kit for £350 from esm, thats the kit i used and they have morris pcd,

but its got hubs and bearings, vented disks, caliper, pads, breaklines, disk backplate and caliper bracket and all the nuts and bolts

I have changed from 7 inch to 8 inch drums big difference, I had Disc on a moggi once but its only a Morris Minor

i only want it for a standard traveller maybe 8 inch drums then? cant make my mind up but i do like originality

what year is the car, if its a later traveller it will already have 8 inch drums, its the earlier cars that had 7 inch

id never trust drums again after my cylinders failed and they were only 3 months old and not a pattern part

but it depends on what year traveller he has, it could already have 8 inch drums, bmc does say 9 inch drums are good and im sure they are he might be better getting these as he says he wants a standard traveller

9" front drums - even better if accompanied with 8" rears will be MORE than sufficient for any A series engined Minor (possibly excluding super/turbo charged engines) - but obviously if upgrading to larger capacity engine - discs may be required for 'spirited' driving...........

9 " off the riley ?

Riley 9s are slightly wider than the W 9s - some have said they make for a slightly 'heavy' pedal - certainly not the case with the W 9s - and NO servo required.
