Suitable wire thickness?

What type and thickness of wire is suitable for normal wiring loom use?
http://www.autosparks.co.uk/index.php?cPath=89
I've been looking at the options on this site, I assume you just need the thin wall wire but what current?
Also, are there any special wires anywhere else on the loom that need to be thicker?
Thanks

Obviously the BROWN wires must be much thicker - and the BLUE and BLUE/WHITE and BLUE/RED wires should also be beefy......and the BLACK earths associated with the lights must also be at least as thick.

Thankyou very much I've got most sorted now. Just checking though using the list beero give which size should the white wires be (fuel pump, distributor)?

Same as others - nothing special - all low current feeds.

The wires in the Minor harness are one of two sizes, with the exception of the main dynamo/alterntor feed.
14/0.012" (14/0.3mm) for everything other than heavier loads such as the headlamps.
28/0.012" (28/0.3mm) for loads like headlamps, and additions such as pairs of spot lamps, electric screens, big amps etc.
The heavier loads should normally be fed through a relay as most aftermarket switches don't like much more than 5A continuous loads.
