Hi Guys,

How practical/easy is it to remove limescale from the later 1098 push heater valve?

Is it worth doing? Does the valve wear internally? or should i get a new one?

Cheers

John

John,
The repro valves are rubbish and don't last very long. Try and get NOS. I have one from a mini-see below. They are quite pricey.

You could run a large drill into the pipes with the valve open.
That should de-scale it pretty well.

If it's stopped working the chances are the stopper has come off, in which case, see above.
