My new moggy..aka Miss Marple

Post by MissMarple »

Hi all

I bought Miss Marple in August off an old couple who had owned her for 20 years. I'm currently the 3rd owner since 1966.

She is in great original condition (80,000 miles)and has only had 3 bits of small welding.

I love her to bits already. I have no plans to do anything to her apart from new carpets and to remove the dials in the compartment behind the steering wheel as I like to have that space.

Hope you like the piccies! As you can see my dog Charley loves her too![frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame]

you might be able to keep the carpets, nylon dye in the right colour will revive them, original carpets look alot better than these modern ones, plus they fit better

thanks for all the nice comments... I have bought a 2 dial guage to relocate the dials to under the parcel shelf so hopefully that will work out ok.

I had no idea about the nylon dye thing for the carpets! I've already bought myself a set from newton commercial (not directly from them as they are very pricey!!)

My dog is pure jack russell (parsons) except that the whole litter came out her colour which by jack standards is wrong (apparently) as they should be at least 50% white. I prefer this colour now & I wouldn't change her for the world .

Hi

As above--a lovely car. Congratulations.

I also admire your dog. She is lovely. And I happen to think that a Moggie isn't complete without a doggie!

Cheers
Don

finally got round to having my new carpets fitted.

For those of you that don't have the time, knowledge or patience to do this and live in the Portsmouth area I can highly recommend Stirling Ice http://www.stirlingsvd.co.uk/

They did a fantastic job on Miss Marple.....the fitting looks like it has just come out of the showroom!
