Interesting that they have 'light' and 'heavy' oils - both SAE 20!! SAE 30 (or 40) is very much better - and certainly the SAE30 is very much cheaper at Tesco - in the gardening section!

just checking but a 10w-40 engine oil is not the same as SAE 40 is it?

No, it's the same as SAE10 at damper temperatures.

So - HOPELESS - in your dampers....... At a pinch - 20W50 can be used and will give just standard damping performance. But will be much better than the stinking old watery thin oil that has been in the damper for the last 40/50 years...........
