Fuel Pump

Post by jaguar68 »

Hi Guys,

Just a quickie regarding fuel pumps. I've recently aquired some SU fuel pumps, an AUF214 electronic pump, AUA 66, AUF 207(?) and a n AUF 301.

I know the AUA 66 is ok for the Minor, but would it pump enough fuel for a 1275 cc engine?

Also is the AUF 214 suitable for a Minor? It has two push on connections for the pipes, which would mean some modification to the fuel pipes etc.

Regards

John

AUF 214 is listed for twin carb 948 - 1275 and single carb 1275
My 918 s/v and 1275 TC run perfectly well on an AUA 66.
I can't find any reference to 207 or 301

I couldn't find any reference to 207 either, the number is stamped onto a badly corroded alloy tag. The 301 was identified by a number cast into the alloy pump head. It seems this is a 300 series pump of the type fitted to MGB's etc.

If the AUA 66 is adequate enough for a 1275 then that will be the one I will go with. The 214 would require modification to the feed pipes as the are a push fit as opposed to the screw union for the petrol feed on the 66.

John
