I have jsut bought a 1962 1000 and just joined the Club (wating for my pack!) and want to know what kind of wheels I can fit.
I've heard that MGB Alloys fit but these are probably scarce and expensive. I want to give it a retro look and was thinking along the lines of Minilites or eqiuvalent remake.
Can anyone help me on diameters, widths, tyre sizes and any problems with fitting different wheels?

hi and Welcome to the board...
There were quite a few posts in March that have all the info you need. I'd give you some links but I just tried the seach and it seems to have the same glitch as other bits of the board this week

When it's up and running it may be worth searching for topics with 'wheels' and / or minilites. The threads I remember were probably started by Turbominor or S.Richardson.

If its any help this guy on ebay has been selling (at prices below normal shop prices £50:00 & £60:00 + vat each) both the 13" and 14" Midget rims which have the same pcd 4" as the Minor and the correct offset as well I believe, the MGB is different.

Thanks for the help, I understood that the PCD on a Minor isn't standard so I will investigate further. In the meantime the steels don't look so bad.

It is on a Moggie, MG Midget, Austin A40, Riley 1.5 and the Wolsley 1500. and even some vauxhalls but they have a different size studs.

I see. Well theres plenty of time, I'm only 18 and the wheels will probably only push up my insurance costs, although I got a very good price through AON.
I will wait a year or so then look at my otpions then.
