if ur anything like me you'll start and it'll take 5 years to finish. you'll be fine then!

when i started working on Monty i was gonna go for a 1098 to keep insurance down, i'm 21 and he's still not done so 1275 it is!

I'm putting one in mine not started on fitting it yet as got to finish off some welding

I bought a 1600 lump with a modifyed prop that uses the fiat one possibly shortened with a ford flange that fits to the diff

I've already installed a rs ford axle which is a good axle for the power and easily upgraded

I haven't started this yet but I've also got a Marina pedal box to go in so I'm going to do away with the minor stuff

Look out for my reso thread I'll put some pics up of the install

Hi guys,
You can use fiat or ford axles but check the width. The fiat propshaft will have to be used but cut down or get a single prop made, I think JLH sell mounts but you can easily fabricate your own. The gearbox tunnel will have to be cut and made taller, you'll need to alter the clutch fork so that it dosen't hit the chassis as for brake and clutch pedals you can use the Morris pedals, you can use marina pedal box but is more work .You'll also have to fabricate your own exhaust, the radiator will need to be changed too I've used Peugeot 205 diesel with electric fan. If you go to page 2 of the custom page and look for Retro car feature and you'll see pictures of my car or Youtube and type in 'Morrisfixer'
Cheers stevie

isn't there an article in Minor Matters in the technical tips section, a two parter, about fitting a twincam. that's written by one of the beardmores too.

I think it's in Minor Monthly and if you look down this site it's here too just look for.'Fiat Conversion' or go to the Beardmore Bros web site, everything you'll ever need to know is on that. :)

Yes, it's in the current edition of Minor Matters (Nov/Dec). The first part covers the bodywork modifications required and part 2 (Jan/Feb issue) covers the engine and gearbox fitting.
