I have just started to repair the front doors on my traveller but can't see how to remove the door handle and catch. The problem is how do you remove the internal door locking lever to allow the mechanism to be removed?
Thanks
John

The internal door lock has a small spring loaded peg in the side of it. You need to push it in and pull the lever out.

If its the older type of handle with no external lock it has a spring clip that you pull out from underneath and then you can withdraw the lever, mke sure you dont drop it I had a lot of trouble finding a replacement for mine!

Have you realised that once you've got the locking lever out, you still have to remove the entire window frame and glass in order to remove the lock assembly?

The spring clip should pull out with pliers.

The window surround/frame is already out as part of the general repair and paint with new rubbers etc. The spring clip seems to be visible but inside the mechanism without a bit sticking out to get pliers on.
Thanks
John
