Does anyone have experience of converting from LHD to RHD or can recommend someone who can do it?

Not done it - but steering column moves over, with all associated wiring - use a RHD rack - move the brake master cylinder over - and the clutch pedal mech too (which probably needs some new parts to make it fit) . Then you need the RHD front plate for the gearbox - which unfortunately means taking the box off to fit it. And of course move the accelerator pedal across! LHD cars are often in demand for folks overseas....... I believe Ray has converted a RHD car to LHD - so he may be best able to advise.

Many thanks. That's most helpful.
I think that, if I get this van, which is under negotiation, I will need pay someone to do the conversion.
Any recommendations, anyone?

Any Minor place should be able to do it.
Some off the parts that are removed could be quite sought after.

Another option is to convert to a hydraulic clutch-that saves the gearbox having to be removed. You will need a RHD clutch pedal and a RHD accelerator pedal .
Also the usual-rack, headlights carpets etc. It all adds up. There is a supplier who I wouldn't dare-beware mention. He charges £695+VAT for the complete conversion RHD to LHD according to his website. Just to give you an idea on pricing. I know for a fact that Canterbury convertibles will do it but they are slightly dearer. Advertise the LHD parts on the German website-I'm sure they will sell-if you need help it's no problem.

I think that a Midget steering rack turned over = LHD Minor rack.
The accelerator pedal fits on the left and has an extended arm which crosses over to the position of the RHD pedal linkage so that the cable is in the same place as the RHD cable.

I was just pointing out the differences between some components that were not a straight swap. Could have been worded better

The point is - the parts to do this conversion are all very readily available in the UK - and the LHD parts that are removed from the car are very much sought-after elsewhere!

No, not yet.
I am awaiting a reply from Vienna, where it is, to several questions.
I did see the van about three three months ago, but the discussions seem to be very protracted.
I will let you know the outcome, but don't expect this to be too soon.
