Hi
I have a 1098 ribbed gearbox, which jumps out of 3rd gear on overrun only, if Iam pulling hard it remains in gear.
It is a gearbox which I rebuilt, using parts from 2 other boxes. As it is fitted in a series 11, I retained the original gear stick and extention tube, I have done this with a previous box no problem.
Before I strip it down again, can anyone point out which areas I need to pay attention to so I can over come this problem, when I rebuild it again.

Worn dog-teeth on 3rd gear? Weak or missing detent springs/balls in 3/4 selector hub? Too much end play in main shaft bearings?
