Post by wells01 »

Hi,
How do you get the seat covers off the seats?
Many thanks

from what i recall..

the rear base is "sewed" on at the back, at the front it uses metal clips which push on to the trailing edge of the seat catching the fabric see the photo below. i found that when i removed the metal clips the fabric often ripped, but i did not care very much as i was replacing the fabric anyway but care should be taken if you are looking to retain the fabric

the rear back is nailed / tacked on to the wood which is then covered by black paper.

The front seat is mainly held together by metal clips.. and what i can only describe as an old hoover fan belt pushed in to a u shaped channel under the seat.

it all comes apart very easily...[frame]Image[/frame]
