how much is it worth?

now i know this is the typical question where we all suck our teeth and then reel off a long list of variables, but i am going to ask anyway.
what would the typical value be for a reasonably knackered, but fixable 1939 MG TB?

i found one sitting rotting on a driveway in the next village from me and i was considering offering about £500 for it

MG TB is not listed in the practical classics buyers guide....

Condition 3 TC & TF though are £7500 and TD £5000

Quite a rare car, less than 400 made. Spares may be difficult to come by. Probably worth more than £500 in spares, though it would be absolutely criminal to break it. MG Carclub may help.

tbh, i am not 100% its a TB, i passed it and all i could see was a little fender, a headlight and half the grill sticking out and a pile of rust underneath it, it looked like a tb, but from the bits i could see i cannot be sure though.

Any TA,TB or TC for restoration will fetch up to £10k. The MG TB that we use for classic trials cost £9k and has cost about the same again to bring up to scratch! I believe that about 200 survive world wide and this is a higher survival rate as a percentage than most MGs. I will happily identify the car for you and can advise on spares, costs etc. Yours, Dave 07875 177743
