Good luck with it, to be honest, not my cup of tea as I am not a fan of anything GRP on a minor. Also if you want, I could help you with your spelling as it is quite shocking give me a bell/pm. (not that spelling is important when it comes to mechanical work.)

im use to txt talk so i know its bad

, but got everything stripped off the car and pushed over on its side and started to grind the welds down so it looks better

Looking good.I think your Morris is from 1956 or 1957,i can see on the side that the Semaphore Trafficator place is still there,so it was one of the first models after the splitscreen.I have the same.
Good luck with your project.

From another thread on here its been decided it was most likely mid '61

And yea it does look a good project, so much easier and nicer to start from a solid base like this, you just get all the fun parts, enjoy modding it as you wish

I think he has put filler over the ground down welds, not sure a good idea as it may start cracking with vibration and fall off personally i would have left as was and brushed seam sealer after priming you can also brush a heavy coat of seam sealer and use a filler card to smooth out the brush marks if that worried about the look/finish underneath

If it is filler it will very quickly become a rust and muck trap.....

Problem is, if the weld flexes and the filler cracks any paint and stone chip on top of it will crack too leaving a gaping hole which will fill up with crud and promptly rust

Yes, but if it gets a knock (or you have any especially fat friends) it WILL flex....

Yes it will flex that is why I suggested putting seam sealer over primed welded area,as it is flexible and then stone chip should not then crack if applied correctly

Looking nice. Are those front dampers these...
http://www.jlhmorrisminors.co.uk/store/ ... roductId=3 ? I prefer the AVO dampers to the Spax but in the pic it shows Spax?
