once you have picked your self up of the floor when you have seen the price of interior trim.. making your own is straight forward, happy to give advice if you need any.. i had not used a sewing machine before buying one and making my own

Doing you own was cheaper even if you had to buy a sewing machine? Have you posted any pix of your work?
the sewing machine is a 1930 singer purchased of ebay for 5 pounds ( to see if i could use a sewing machine ) the fabric was 30 pounds 3 pound a meter..i then had to buy a new belt 1.99 a pair of good scissors only for cutting fabric 5.99 and a reel of cotton er 50p i think.
i also replaced the straps and the foam.. which i would have had to do even going down the newton commercial route.. as for photos..[frame][/frame][frame][/frame]
thank you declan.. i will certainly take some photos but i am off for a few days, do not be afraid to drop me a pm if i have not put some photos up by this time next week.
i simply sewed up a bag, slipped the sun visors in and then hand sewed up the top..
as i suggested in my last post i simply folded up a piece of fabric sewed up to make a sleeve to slip the sun visor in. I did not remove the old covering of the sun visor. Having slipped the bag in i folded over the tops and have used a simple running stitch to seal the top of the bag.[frame][/frame]
