Before scratching the paint, losing screws, putting the screwdriver through the seals or tearing the door cards, can someone advise how easy (or difficult) is it to take out the old and fit new quarter lights to a 1966 Minor?

Just remove the screws that hold the upper hinge and remove hinge. Then pull quarterlight upwards out of the frame (just one pin at the botom which sits in a hole). Refitting is reverse :-?

Many thanks, you make it sound so easy....I believe you.....when given two choices I always pick the wrong one so it sounds as if there is only one way to do it ....I can't go wrong.......can I?

Thanks again

I did this in the last few weeks as said above take out the 2 screws on the top edge of the window frame just above the 1/4 light hinge and work it out. When fitting the new rubber lubricate with something that won't damage the rubber, I went with car shampoo total time took about 30 minutes for removal and re-fit.

Thanks Rob. The rubbers do not need replacing, so I will take your tip when fitting the new quarter lights and use some shampoo with anti dandruff anyway.

Cheers
