What is a reasonable price to pay for a rust free rolling shell,a traveller ,which has nearly all the rest of the car in boxes I dont know what is missing yet

no mot ,its been profesionally repaired with new panels, and off the road since 1984 I am keen to buy it but am not sure what to offer.

If its got a really good shell then I would guess around £500

Depends on the condition of the other bits ie whether theres lots of refurbished or new parts in the boxes.

Presuming it will need painting, lots of new bits,tyres, new timber, trim etc to complete to a good standard youll probably end up spending a further £4000-5000 to complete - so what Im saying is the purchase price is fairly academic if its less than £1k and its a project you want to undertake!!!

The owner may have unrealistic ideas about it's value based on how much has been spent already.
Just because they spent £X doesn't make it worth £X + N.

It's worth what someone will pay for it, and like all unfinished projects it'll be a LOT less than the sum of what went into it.
