It will be a daily driver (I'm keeping the current daily till the MOT runs out though)

The underside is rock solid (theres a little surface rust that needs cleaning up and treating but thats no biggy) all the rust is visable on this car!

Really, it needs a good tidy up inside and out (and the passenger seat needs a total re-web - so much so that its temporarily been replaced by a seat from another car)

Mechanically, I'm not quite so sure about it - the engine goes well but it needs a damned good service and its very reluctant to start on occaision.

The aim of the game with this car is to do at least one job a weekand I figure that pretty soon it will be nicely uptogether. Its perfectly capable of being a "condition 1" car with a little time effort and some pennies - it will get there eventually.

Incidentally, I've not seen the oil venting arrangement with the "flying saucer" above the manifold before - how does it work?

I think that was for a car that wsas due to be exported, but not 100% sure, looks a really sound car for the money even the engine bay looks pretty clean.

Monty was purchased by a forum member, so I think so :D

There was never any intention to not replace him. I was just very fortunate that this car came up so soon after saying goodbye!

Closed circuit breather system as fitted to later Minors. The PCV fitted to export models was different (See Mike Perry's 1275 set up)
