Hi chaps, sorry to barge in on your board, but I am writing a short piece on the Morris Minor for a new car magazine coming out next month and just wanted to make sure I was getting my facts right. According to my research, over 1.3 million Minors were produced from 1948 to 1971. Can someone tell me if those figures are correct? Does anyone have the exact total number produced across all models (inc Traveller/Van/Pick-Up etc)? If anyone could confirm, I'd be very grateful. I know my sportscars, but not so good with saloons

According to Paul Skilleter's book, the figure is 1,619,857 - which includes Series MM, Series II, 948cc, and 1098cc models. This includes cars and LCVs.

Thanks for that Dryad - I like to get my facts right before publishing features so that's been a great help. Thanks also for the feedback on the magazine chaps. We are aiming to provide something that equals the quality of the established printed magazines, but give it away free. If you want to help or support the mag, please just tell as many friends as possible and ask them to register, and if you are at the NEC next month, come over and say 'hello'! We're in Hall 2.

Thanks guys! That's a great help. I should also mention that if anyone wants to write a feature about Morris Minors, or write some regular installments about your restoration project, we'd love to feature them. We can have lots of MM content in the magazine, but we need people to send it in!
