Help!! socket required!!

Post by williamraff »

Hi folks, can anyone advise where I might borrow (or buy if necessary) a 3/4" Whitworth long socket for removal of the starter dog?
I had hoped to change the timing chain on my traveller this weekend but but do not have a socket of the sutable size / depth available to me.
Many thanks,Will :) .

Most of us just fit an adjustable spanner (or even Stillsons  ) on the dog - resting on the nearside chassis leg (pad with a bit of folded cloth) - then crank the starter!
