If you are lucky it may be stamped into the bodyshell - just below where the chassis (not Vin!) number plate was fixed. But - DVLA should be able to help you out on this if you explain the situation properly with a few pictures of the vehicle.

Hi,
My new project truck came without tags but with the log-book.
I bought the LCV type vin plate (Code M1000) from these guys. Excellent service too!

Hope this helps

Although I can offer little more help than others, have you looked through all other paperwork for the chassis number, perhaps it was noted on your original receipt, or an old mot certificate. Doubtless you have done this, but just a thought.
Incidentally top marks for dragging the pick-up from house to house and sticking with it for so long, many 'restorers' abandon projects after far less inconvenience!

Good luck.

There should be a body number at the top of the passender side of the bulkhead under the bonnet. Its a little screwed on strip with a load of numbers on its normally painted body colour. Try speaking to Russ from the LCV site he may be able to assist in what the Chassis number is. But as a starter from my limited knowledge it should be something like (if its a Morris Pickup that is) MAU5.....numbers.....F
Good luck

If its already registered in your name, just apply for the V5 and put an explanation in with the application. Or phone them.
I've used "illegible due to corrosion" as an excuse for not knowing the chassis number in the past and its worked fine - the V5 arrived in due course with the chassis number on it.
