Hi all just fitted a temp gauge (brand new) but i'm noticing that immediately as soon as i switch the ignition on the temp goes immediately up to 50 and then the more i drive it reaches 130 and stops there, the engine doesn't seem to be overheating what's wrong? the gauge or the temp sensor? thanks

If it is an electric gauge then it normally has to work through the voltage stabiliser on the back of the speedo. With a bit of luck there will be some instructions.
There are several topics on this subject, you may find it useful to search.

Well - it is quite warm in Malta....... As above - likely needs 10 volt feed from the voltage regulator on the back of the speedo - it's already supplying the fuel gauge.
