I have just purchased a 1955 minor. When driving it home with my wife following behind in the 'other car', the speed shown on the morris was approximately 10mph faster than it should be. I do not think that the speedo is the correct on for the car as it has an indicator lamp on it. Does anyone know if this is the problem or could there be something else wrong?

Any assistance will be gratefully received.

Thanks

Lo, from late 1954 the speedo had a bronze
face with black lettering. There ARE green indicator lights but they were only activated
on the export models. The speedo should read
to just over 80 mph. The mileage recorder
should be white figures on black background.
apart from that you could have a non standard
diff ratio so some detective work may be
called for
