Hi folks,
Got a bit of a query. On the stock Minor upright there are two bosses for the steering arm to sit in but the upper boss isn't machined out.
Presumably this upper boss (and the fact that the front lever arm can be mounted further in and lower down) is to give provision for the front end of the Minor to run at a much higher ride height than stock.
Can you get uprights with the upper boss machined? What was this for - commercials or exports?
My Minor is taking on a bit of a mid 60s gasser look and I'm interested in whether I can raise the front end up further while maintaining decent geometry to get a bit more of a nose-in-the-air stance.
Many thanks!

The same swivel pins are used on the Riley / Wolseley 1500 which use the top bosses for the steering arms. Swivel pins without the top boss are for Series MM / early Series 11 and have a different stub axle

Ah, many thanks for the info. It was puzzling me. I assume that's so the rack can be mounted higher to clear the 1500 engine?
Are the swivels otherwise identical? And are the Riley/Wolseley steering arms the same as Minor's?

Sorry can't answer that one, I have never grovelled under a Wolseley 1500. Something for you to do at the next rally.

The Wolseley steering arms are different to the Minor. I have some buried in the garage somewhere and they have a different angle to them and maybe the length (I cant remember).
