My blog / Morris restoration

Post by GeorgeHurst »

Hi there,

I've just redesigned my personal portfolio website and have included a blog in it, which is going to be documenting the restoration / modification of my 2dr saloon. I'm probably not going to start a restoration thread on here as it will mean having to update everything twice, so if you're interested check out: http://www.georgehurst.co.uk/blog - the third post down has the plan for the restoration, and the most recent post shows the engine out! Progress!! :D

Cheers,
George

Hey Chelsea,
Yes indeed an illustrator, graduated from LCC last summer. Not much paid work around though for us graduates! Hopefully by the time you graduate recession will be over :D
Good luck on the course and hope freshers week is banging, would be interested to see some of your work if you've got any online.

Just been looking through ur blog, looks great. I'm planning something with my project car which is very much along the same lines. Except i'm going for ford running gear (mk2 escort rear axle, not sure what i'm going to do about front discs yet, 5 speed type 9 and a tuned 1600 crossflow) I'm also going for a 2 seater, with a custom interior, and speakers and amps in the back. Probably also 2" oversized rear wings to accommodate the slight extra width unless i can find wheels with a big offset. Shes going to be red and black i think, but i have spent almost a year now looking at the little pic of your car, and have been seriously considering brg also. I Love what your doing and cant wait till you get it finished (mine might take a little longer with me having just started my 1st year at uni) :D

Hey, thanks man :D Sounds like you'll have a pretty hot Moggy by the end of that 8)
Mine is in fact now going to be taking a fair bit longer than originally planned, I've just started a printing business so need to focus my efforts in getting that set up and then just work on the Morris at the weekends. It's all stripped down to a bare shell now, so I've made good headway - looking forward to respraying in the next month or so.
Good luck with the project, I'll look forward to seeing updates on here :)
