What do you mean by "modern": built to modern spec, existing today, or from a modern car?
If it's the middle one, ESM and BM supply mirrors to original spec, I believe. For a splitty I'd go for the round-type, aesthetically.
I don't know if you can find mirrors that would fit a Minor built to modern spec, because most mirrors on cars today are encased in plastic and have motors to wiggle them around. The Minor has no support for such 'advancements'.
Mirrors from a modern car would look just plain weird.

There are some pre war design mirrors which will screw onto the A post.
Alternatively convex glass circular wing mirrors have the added bonus of marking the front wing position when manoevering and also are useful for hooking the dog lead!

I have tried more than one type of mirror that fits to the quarterlight and found them useless because they are too far back. I suspect that mirrors mounted on the doors may have similar problems unless specifically designed for the Minor or a car with similar dimensions.
So you are probably better off sticking with original type wing mirrors.

I also tried all sorts of mirrors on the quarter light. Drivers side is no problem but the passenger side was always obscured. In the end I made my own arm. I know it's not perfect but it doesn't look too bad and now I have full vision. It makes a lot of difference driving a RHD car on right.

agreed, it's fairly garish, and i'm not 100% sold on the idea of making more holes :p
as a new driver, especially, all round visibility is of vital importance.
all suggestions welcomed

Declan, a good solution. i have these mirrors on my convertible and, as you say, vision through the passenger side mirror is useless as it can't tilt in far enough. I had thought of using an wedged baseplate but discovered there wouldn't be enough thread.

Door mirrors are useless. Just fit wing mirrors as were used in the day. They work very well indeed if adjusted correctly. And you don't have to move your field of vision to see what's coming along behind.
