Hello Everone :D

Has anyone out there got a Intermediate Wipers relay wired up and working on there moggy?

I got my hands on one of these relays.

The Moggy place @ Manchester wired it up for me for FREE as they had never done anything like this before.

The Problems are that the relay works when the wiper switch is half way down for it to work but also works when the switch is down fully for the wipers to be on all the time.

There is also a wire that go's to the wiper motor but the chap at the moggy place said that the wiper motor is live all the time?.

The relay has 5 conections
Out of the relay is now conected 4 wires.

No 1 is not in use
No2 go's to the Wiper Switch
No3 go's to the Wiper Motor
No4 go's to the +
No5 go's to the -

Oh & I have a car radio so this relay will work ( I Think ! )

There are many different versions of intermittent wiper controller, made by different manufacturers for different car companys. Where is the module from? Did the stalk you are using come from the same place?

If I remember correctly, the wiper does have a live connection, thats how it automatically parks. The stalk grounds the motor, and when the system isn't parked, a switch inside the motor also grounds it, so that it will keep running after you switch off, until park is reached.

Not enough information but it is correct that the wiper has a
permanent live feed when the ignition switch is ON, this is the
green wire. The wiper switch activates the wipers by connecting
to earth via terminal E on the control box!

I Have Noticed that a MGB GT has a 2 speed wiper motor which just looks like the one on a Moggy, I wonder if You could do a swap?
