I was having a look at my suspension today as it seemed quite noisy when going over uneven roads manholes etc and my suspension upright is very close to touching the bump stop on the inner wing. This probably isn't ideal and I wondered what gap should there be between the top of the upright and bump stop? My Morris had new suspension bushes and bump stops when I rebuilt the car and I am pretty sure there was a gap between the upright and bump stop then but I guess there may have been some settling down of parts since I have put it back on the road in May.
I think I might adjust the height using the torsion bar but will one spline be enough as according to my manual this will raise the height by 1"
Thanks.

Re: Bump Stops
I would say at least 1.5" - probably 2" - and that with you sitting in the car..... So yes- raise it one spline and then see how it sits. You do have nice viscous oil in the dampers ??

Re: Bump Stops
I have gas teles on the front and since I have dodged a salad or 3 I should probably adjust it on the splines to get the required clearance. Cheers
