Hi to all.....

Just a introduction to the forum.......Im a 39 year old from devon, and until today was happily married, that was until I went and bought a £300 driveable wreck and brought it home to the wife this evening.

Picked up a Morris 1000 (1962) off of EB - originally the owner was hoping for around £600 but to be honest there is so much work to be done to her that I managed to get it down to £300.

Lots of bad parts - the chrome has all but gone every where, needs a new N/S door, rust and filler all over, leaky petrol tank, needs a complete N/S sill, rear O/S wheel arch is held on with filler.......and I think those are the good parts!

It has just gone through the mot with a few minor advisories.....so there might be hope. Engine starts on the button though and she drives well.

Problem is, I have a DIY tool box and thats pretty much it.....not sure where or how to start....got to be one job at a time as she is also going to be my daily run about so can't afford to take her off the road.......any one from Newton Abbot around ..lol?

How on earth did it get an MOT like that ???????? Many would want to know the name of this obviously very 'Minor friendly' garage ! I would say leaky petrol tank must be a very important safety item that should be attended to first..... New tanks are very expensive - perhaps some one has a secondhand one going spare ........ ?

Put a request in the Wanted section of this board. We have a few posters from Devon who may have a spare on lurking. :D
