that's why i thought the 948 kit should be close to idea, as it is still clap hand.
thanks, turbominor will be a good tool, just in the last stages of getting her finished

Within Owen Burton book there is a section on 2 speed wipers and the earlier ones are easier to do than the later tandem ones, I dont have the book at work so cant suggest anything until tonight unless someone else has a copy to hand

I think the S11 wipers used an under-dash motor, and not the engine-bay motor of the 948 and 1098 cars. It's probably possible, but it won't be simple.
You tried using Rain-X or another type of water repellant for screens?

Garath is right wiper motor is behind the right hand side of the dash tucked as far away as possible

if you take out the wiper motor and rack, clean out all the grease from the wheelboxes and re-grease it makes an amazing difference. Mine were so gunged up before they would almost stop. Now they are really smooth and much quicker.

Sorry tizzy you were right the 2 speed in Owen Burtons book is for the 948cc and not the series 2.
And Winger is bang on as many wiper motors are running on the original 40-50 year old grease which seems to become more like glue with age, and whenever I have come across someone who has cleaned it out and replaced it they have been amazed at the improvement just as winger was.

If i remember in the owen burton section you can use any two speed wiper motor from anther BMC vehicle but there is a mod to the gear system to give the correct sweep on the two speed motor please dont ask me what it is as i no longer have the owen burton manual ive been trying to get a new copy but none of the part centers i go to cant get me one this mod is for the latter morris minor and not the series 11 but if iwas to see a seris to motor i might be able to come up with a sollution.
