For a 1961 2 door. Looking for the comercial #, not the BMC #. Also would like to get the seal #.
The numbers that I have been given are for inch series bearings, whereas our car has metric series bearings. I suspect the inch series are for earlier cars as the BMC manual references a change in bearings, but is not specific. (Page K-9)
The numbers I have are:
Inner: RLS7 2RS
Outer: RMS5 2RS
Seal: 400041N
TIA, Ken

Re: Looking for front wheel bearing #s
The change in bearings was refering to the Series MM/early Series 11 which had an integral hub/brake drum and the later Series 11/M1000 which had separate hubs and brake drums. The swivel pins were also different.
The bearings and seals should be the same from '54 to '71 and should be available from the usual Minor parts suppliers.

I believe they are 'unique' - possibly to stop folks buying them 'cheap' from commercial sources!

if you have your old bearings and you can measure them accurately, i have purchased bearing from these guys in the past as they have a very large range and have found them quick and very reasonably priced..

on the left hand side of the page is a place for you to enter your bearing dimensions..
if they will not post out to you in canada, i am happy to act as middle man for you..

Re: Looking for front wheel bearing #s
Inner bearing: OD:52mm, ID:25mm, Width:15mm
Outer bearing: OD:47mm, ID:17mm, Width:14mm
And they are an angular contact bearing so they can take side loading.
I went to local bearing suppliers and I can buy a bearing kit from BM a lot, lot cheaper than I can get the bearings locally, even after paying postage.

Yes - they are specials. Odd that they are metric on a car of that age! Must have been a 'plan' to ensure spares were bought from BMC.
