Alternative seats

I have a 1965 pick up without a lot of history. It was owned and used as a display for a garden centre for the last 10 years. It is now taxed tested and running. It is in good mechaanical order and the bodywork is excellent. It seems that some one has spent a lot time and money in the past. However the interior is not particularly good. It has tilt forward seats which seem the right age but are obviously from a 2 door saloon and are weel past their best. I am looking to replace them. As other parts of the car are not original (it has a timber pick up bed) I am not too bothered about originality.
I have seen seats discussed in previous forums but all suggestions were related to saloons. I will be fitting the seats in a fixed position and not on runners.
Any suggestions on potential replacements ?

I've seen some ingenious modifications using Jeep Cherokee seats and a DIY frame. I direct you to http://www.mmoc.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f= ... 26#p318429 (which, full disclosure, is my resto thread but is the only place I know offhand that has Cammy's fix). There are those who use Land Rover seats and I think I recall someone using Jaguar seats, but from which models I know not.

I imagine you could make up a frame for most any seat and fit it inside, but it'd take lots of inventiveness for some of the bigger ones out there!
