can anyone advise me i have an early a series 1300 with a worn out hif38,would i be better off with a hif44 or stick to the 38.

i had a 44 on a 1275 ital engine and it was very good combination

good second hand ones are on ebay, but try and get one with the throttle quadrant

44 if you want more power! But 38 is fine and will possibly give best economy. Why do you think yours is 'worn out' - they are extremely long-lived things!? New 44s (and 38s) are extortionately expensive!
