Brake Shoes

I was wondering if there was any difference in the quality/performance of the brake shoes available from different suppliers, or if they were all exactly the same? Or if it was possible to get slightly better quality or cheaper shoes from a mini supplier etc? BTW standard 8" fronts, 7" rears. (Welcome pm's due to possible t&c issues)

I have noticed the difference in feel and performance of cheap shoes. Stick to the recognised brands such as Ferodo etc.

Mini shoes don't fit...... Old stock shoes (probably with asbestos in them) are best!

Hi, agree with bmce, old ones best.

If you need new try mintex available at bull motif - I have found them good.
Birmingham MMC cheap shoes are okay mind and cheaper.
