1958 948pistons

hi am stripping dowm my engine and need to find out piston size to re-ring / on top the marks are 2008 u60 front ? any thoughts pllease also what marking or part no,s i may find on bigend , mains and crankshaft bearings thankyou john

It is no use fitting the same size rings and shells as are already in. You need to have the bores and journals measured to find out how much wear is there and the correct sizes to fit. You may need a rebore and crank regrind.

Only way is to measure. Usually they would be marked 10/20/30 etc indicating the oversize (and same with bearing shells) . I'm wondering if your 'u60' indicates 60 thou oversize - although that would be a very extreme overbore........
