I recently purchased some oil caps (3) for the Morris sidevalve engines. One is an original type MM made of aluminum and two are "bakelight". The aluminum cap does not have the riveted plate with whatever is written on it (I have no idea).
Would someone supply a clear picture of the top of the cap so I can fabricate the plate?
TIA
Marc

Re: Oil cap help?
The early oil filler caps were alloy with NOL embosed on them. See Orig. M. Minor P.37
These were superceeded by filler caps wih a cream tin plate rivetted in the centre. There was a list of approved lubricants printed radially around the plate.
Sorry but mine is illegible.
