Any Blackberry Experts?

Wife has a Blackberry !! (fatal combination at the best of times  ) She's moaning at me earlier tonight because when she tries to log on to the NHS website it keeps saying the email address used is in the wrong format - "it should have at least one . and an @" - which it clearly has - but for some reason the mobile web page doesn't recognise it. I tried it on my PC and it works fine so I tried changing the encoding with no luck and at this point ran out of knowledge and ideas..... :o
Can anyone offer any suggestions - Is it the phone settings or the website at fault etc.... ????

If it's in the format
someone@somwhere.com
It should be acceptable.

Could it be a wrongly formatted email address has been remembered or cached by the Blackberry browser?

The email address format is someone.someone@somewhere.com (maybe the two . are confusing it?)
I tried clearing the cache but no difference

I should have kept my mouth shut really as I'm not a Blackberry Expert.
Never stopped my before so here are some more thoughts.

Has it ever worked using the Blackberry?

Does the Blackberry use its own browser?

Does the site work if you try it from a PC using Opera or Firefox?

Is it an HTTPS site? Might be something to do with the encryption the Blackberry is using.

I know these are mostly questions, not answers :) .

 Thanks for offering support anyway MarkyB.....

No, It's never worked on her Blackberry....

It does use its own browser but have also downloaded Opera Mini and it's still the same.....

Site works fine on a PC with Firefox and IE8....

Yes, it is an HTTPS site and I am at the conclusion that it is the encription which is the problem too. However, I tried it on my Samsung Tocco which uses Samsungs own basic browser and it works !! I can't believe that a Blackberry is not as secure as my Samsung ??

O2 Tech support were no help so I am going to call Blackberry tech support when they open tomorrow.....

Yes spray, similar problem but I am not techno minded so the advice to "fiddle" with the settings doesn't relly help me unfortunately :D
