Boot lock, new cylinder

The key turns but the handle won't lock so I think I need to replace the boot lock cylinder ( 58 tourer)...
I have removed the catch mechanism & the the handle.
I wonder if anyone can tell me how to dismantle the handle so as to get the old cylinder out & new one in. The manual does not have this info as far as I can see.

thanks
Chris

Hi Chris
I had the same problem with a lock the other week, but I found this link to be quite good

http://www.mmoc.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f= ... ck#p259759

The pictures are quite clear, hope this helps?

It's a fiddly job, so here is another link that might be helpful

Took it off & had a good hard look at it before attempting to dismantle & discovered that....
at some time in the past someone had taken it off & replaced with the handle upside down, THAT was why it wouldn't lock!

I did think that it did not look right.
Replaced the right way up, now it can lock.

Anyone need a boot lock cylinder & key?

Chris
