Handbrake cable guides

I'm part way through a thorough restoration of a 1959 Traveller which has been owned by my mother since 1967. it's not been used since 2006 but will be back on the road soon (hopefully).
At some stage the guides for the handbrake cables where they pass through the floorpan have been removed and lost. It's 19 years since I last worked on a Minor and I can't remember what parts comprise the whole assembly.

I'd be very grateful if anybody could advise me of the correct parts required and possible sources. I can't find anything on the ESM or BM sites, but I could be looking in the wrong place.

Many thanks

Richard

They are just shaped pieces of steel sheet - many throw them away and don't bother with them. I see DSN do a non-standard one for the Mini (but don't list it for Minor) - just looks like a bit of thick rubber sheet with two holes for the securing bolts!

Hi

The part number ACA5522 is the same as the mini but the morris has two on each cable.

They are called Fairlead cable guides and comprise two metal plates and seperate polymer strips that protect the cables from abrasion and keep water out.

Here they are in the Somerford mini catalogue:

http://www.somerford-mini.co.uk/pdfs/Ca ... dbrake.pdf

My travellers had them fitted and they are each held in with two 3/16" UNF nuts and bolts.

Hope this helps

Taupe
