Morris Minor Owners Club

I would like to buy a cover for a Morris Minor Tourer- 1956.
The car will be kept under cover in a wooden carriage house but not in a sealed garage and wondered if anyone has some advice on what sort would be best, i.e a breathable one or a weatherproof.

Have a look at these 3 links, I have the stormforce but keep mine out all year and it's pretty weatherproof and breathable.

You could save yourself some money by checking out the last link, it has some discount vouchers I found while trawling the net.

My coverzone went hard/brittle/leaking after 2 summers - and no winter use. Seems it's not supposed to be in the sun - only to be fitted when raining...........

I'll see what mines like after this summer, it's been pretty hot so it may well damage? He says he's keeping it in a wooden carriage house ( sounds very grand ) but not sealed so I would have thought a cover with soft lining to protect the paint work. Mind you it's all down to personal preference as it is with most things on here.

If the car is not directly in the elements i.e. sun and rain it will not need such a heavy cover. I presume the coachhouse doesn't have door.? Something like a Coverzone Monsoon will keep the moisture off the paint and protect it from dust etc whilst letting it breathe. These covers are fine but direct sunlight will break down the fabric eventually, which it why it should be ok for your car.
