Hi

I'm trying to tidy my carpets in the traveller I bought a couple of months ago.

Currently the carpet is over the cover at the bottom of the gear stick.

Should it be under the cover and if so am I ok to undo all the screws lift the cover off put the carpet down and the put the cover back and do the screws.

Does anyone have a photo of their carpet around the gear stick

Thanks
Andy

Hi Andy,

You're right - the square metal cover and the rubber gaiter should fit on top of the carpet. It can be a bit tricky to locate the holes but with a little bit of trial error all should be well.

Yes, but use a bradawl to align one of the holes up and then start with the opposing screw, but dont fully tighten any of them until they have all been started.

Just adding to Kevin's post.
Punch the holes, with bradawl, in the carpet one by one....thin nails ( 2" or so ) / bits of wire will keep them in position...
so that the carpet lies correcty.
Place the metal cover and locate screws ( as Kevin has suggested )with your bradawl.
