Ok,hi from sunny(not really) Melbourne Australia. My morrie project is a 1960 2 door and Im afraid that progress is pretty slow as I dont get a lot of time to play with it.At present I have managed to repair the majority of rust, passenger side chassis rail, sills and behind the front guards. Also replaced the panel under the boot, pretty lucky I think to get away with what I had to fix I feel.Car is in part primer and part sanded original black paint,as I work and complete I put a coat of primer over it.To date it is fitted with a 1983(KE70) toyota 1.3ltr and auto and a steering columb from what we in Aus call a KA Ford Laser, this has all the controls and ignition fitted to the columb, however it is not wired up yet.The engine and box are fully fitted but I need to replace a couple of faulty/perished mounts, all brackets, mounts etc have been hand made by me.Next plans are to fit the front disc brakes from the previously mentioned toyota and replace the rear axle from and edarlier model toyota(KE55) then gedt on to running all my new brake lines exhaust etc.The plan is to get it finished, running and registered and then fiddle some more, away from prying eyes of the constabulary(I didnt say that out loud did I?)Dont know how aware you may be about the modification of cars here in Aus but it is particulary difficult to do anything adventurous as everything nearly has to be presented for engineering inspection and approval prior to reg, personally I wish it was like UK or USA but that will never happen here, real nanny state sort of stuff..anyway,when I have some pics I will post them and let you know how things are going.Regards to all for now,Pete.
