I need some help please.
I finnaly found my head unit for CD/MP3 player would like to fit this as I currently have no entertainment other than the great sound of my engine :)
It has one of these connectors on it so I guess its a case of cut off and use connector blocks.
Now I know the radio wires are as follows
Red = Power
Black = Earth
Yellow = constant 12v

I have no idea which locations within the car I need to connect wires, have seen talk about using the ignition switch but with speedo now out I am still clueless.

Red to the ign switch terminal that comes live when you turn the key on (check with a meter). Black screwed down behind the dash (to metal) with a largeround connector on the end and tellow to the permanent live on the fuse box with an inline fuse spliced in.

I have music :)
Tried to use the set up you mentioned without ignition connection and it wouldn't work.
So connected perm live to battery, earth to earth and ignition live to ignition though my new multimeter decided its no longer going to function so this bit was trial and error till I found the right location ^^.
Anyway suffice to say I now have functioning stereo although it will only work with ignition on, but meh it works lol

Correct way of doing it so you can't run the battery down if you forget to turn it off :lol:
