Ok... We know that the Wiltshire branch will be traveling across the South Wales area on their 5 Capitol Challenge. Our South Wales Branch will be hosting a welcoming party in Cardiff for them.
For those who would like to either follow in convoy from the Old Severn Bridge to our venue at The Museum of welsh Life (St. Fagans), Meet them/us there at the Museum or travel in convoy from Cardiff - Swansea - Pembrokeshire. I need to know numbers. The Museum staff are keen to help and have limited spaces for owners. Can those interested please pm me so I can know. thanks.
Raymond.

Yes. All in Hand. We have the Lord Mayor of Cardiff to welcome the group into South Wales.
We have the Branch involved in the welcome too
We need the weather to be on our side and the Good Welsh people to give a BIG Welsh Welcome to our intrepid drivers who are making this epic journey.....

I have thought of that but as a lot of choirs are attending other things were not able to secure anybody. I have tryed Mail Voice Choirs, Welsh Harpest, Welsh Country Dancers.but to no avail.
I had a meeting with the events organiser last week and she is very very keen to host another Morris Minor event there at the museum so I have made very basic plans to hold a Welsh Morris Minor Rally for 2011. So let's get this event out of the way first and see what we can come up with.

St Fagans would be a great venue for a gathering. If the cars could be parked up by the Workmen's Institute or thereabouts it would be a fantastic backdrop for photos.
It's a shame I can't make it for the MOT escort (I'll be in Boston, MA

). Good luck for 24th!

Yep.... I am meeting our friends at the Aust Services at 11 - 11.15am then escorting them over the bridge. If your thinking of following the convoy you need to be very neer the (old M4) by 11.15am. I can text you when we leave the services. Or you can make your way to St. Fagans Via. M4 J33 and meet up with other fellow members at the main car park. I will then text someone when we turn off the bypass so that you all can join in the short 500yrd journey to the Castle entrance where at my signal the gates will be opened and the cars will be positioned.

Hi. Just had a last minute meeting putting last things in place ready for your visit.
So far we have 15Morris's booked in from the South Wales area and I think there should be about 15 from your branch attending too. The Museum staff has received a lot of calles regarding this event so it should be a great day (Weather permitting).
