Removing mainshaft from gearbox

Post by davidpidge »

Don't worry, I haven't gone mad. I'm only dismantling a knackered gearbox to get the 1st motion shaft out so I can use it to line up my new clutch plate.

I've taken everything apart that I can but can't see how the mainshaft can be extracted. (I was told I have to do this to get the 1st motion shaft out.) If a photo of where i've got to would help i'll put it up.

Cheers! :D

I got it out. I was being far to gentle, it just needed a tug!
