Here is a shot from my engine that I'm working on, joeone62 wanted to ask me a question about this part, can anyone help him out. He wants to know how to get this off and what spanner size to use. Joe do you want to expand on your question?[frame][/frame]

I've already explained to him - that it probably doesn't NEED a new switch. But if you must - there is a hex on the body just above where it screws into the block - put a spanner (sorry - dunno the size but try 1/2" or 9/16" AF) on there and turn it anti-clock !

Thanks dave for this picture, As explained before I have all the intention however to change this piece, also because taking this piece off I can add a T so that I can add a pressure gauge to it. Personally I cannot see any "there is a hex on the body just above where it screws into the block", it may seem all clear to you but not to me.

It's a bit grubby - give it a clean. It may not be a 'hex' - it may be square - or even just two flats - but there will be a way to use a spanner ( clé ) on it. The T piece and gauge is an excellent idea.

Screws into block - then the original pressure switch screws into the T piece - and the oil pressure gauge adapter screws into the other port.
