Ballast resistor

I have an 1971 Morris Minor with a 1100cc engine that has been coverted to an Altenator with electronic Ignition, will I need a Ballast resistor

Not unless it has a 9 volt coil fitted ? Why do you ask......? Is there a problem ??

had to replace coil .Just changed back to Morris Minors after owning a Fiat 500 for a few years . They are always having coil and condenser Problems. Now I have used my spare coil whats the best buy coil

A nice old original one! Check the resistance across the two terminals -should be ~ 3.2 ohms.
