I am looking into ways to help keep my gearbox functioning well. My mechanic and I talked about a magnetic geabox sump plug.
Does anyone know if there is one available for the Morris Minor gearbox?
I found one on ebay for the Mini, wondered if this may fit?

might not fit from a mini, they had a combined gearbox and sump. i would try something like an mg midget or something along those lines. Roy will be along soon to point you down the right path

Don't bother - the bits settle to the bottom anyway - just change the oil now and again. And - don't grind the gears! Learn to double-de-clutch on down shifts - and always engage 2nd gear before going into 1st or reverse. These steps are more likely to help your gearbox along to a good long life!

The magnetic sump plug comes out looking like a hedgehog - frightening!
